Kudos for Julie

SOMETIMES PEOPLE SAY NICE THINGS

Once upon a time, I went looking around the Internet to see what people were saying about work I had done for them. Fortunately, some of those things were good, and I didn’t even have to bribe anybody! Here are a few of those comments, and some others from people I’ve worked with. (Some of these are from the time back when I was doing a lot of repairs, modifications, and other technical work for individuals as a sideline to Engineering consulting.)

“Julie, you are like the secret weapon of the audio industry!

-From Kevin, an Engineer on the full time team at one of my past consulting clients

“Everyone’s loving what you did for these, Julie. Thanks for being a ROCK STAR!

-From the Product Manager at a recent client company, about the design of 2 new related guitar products

“I had acquired three 259 ‘kits’ from Don (Buchla) and had Julie Yarbrough build them… I eventually sold the original Buchla built 259’s because the ‘kit’ 259’s sounded, worked, and looked better.

-From the Analog Heaven mailing list, regarding Buchla 259 Complex Waveform Generator
(modular synth) modules I built and wired… a project involving a fair amount of reverse engineering
and tweaking, since the Buchla ‘kits’ consisted just of raw (and incorrect) PCBs and front panels!

“The Studio 32 was designed by Julie Yarbrough, who was a designer for me when I was at Fender…and previously was at Neotek. I would trust ANYTHING that she did, and would know it would be great. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending it, as it is probably the first decent mixer Alesis has done!”

Julie is the BEST! She worked like a mad woman last week to fix one of my Marshall’s and hand delivered it twice to listen to it in my room. Unbelievable.”

“Julie Yarbrough. I dunno’ about the Jupiter specifically but she is an awesome tech!

(We) had a driver blow on us… Julie sent me a long helpful email with the basics to try. I called her, and boom, that day she had a driver out to me. Can’t beat it. Super helpful, very approachable, and quick as hell. Hats off to Ms. Julie Yarbrough of ADAM and my dealer… I cannot stress how great they were.

Julie, if we all had to go into a dark scary cave, I think we would all feel safer if you were leading us. So, yes, it’s OK with me.

-From a co-worker, after being asked how he felt about me
potentially taking over management of the group
